This is how survival horror was meant to be done. James' guilt and self pity create nightmarish monsters that still send chills down my spine. The story, pacing, and mystery keep the game gripping and terrifying until the very end. The game keeps its tension after several playthroughs and is greatly helped by its use of haunting (yet moving) music and silence.
